If you aren't working to achieve your own dreams, you're working to achieve someone else's.

Thanks for stopping by. Here's where I'm coming from:

When you find a passion ... something in life that keeps you energized and excited about living, you don't need anyone else to tell you what it is.

No one else can dictate what your path is ... no one else can dictate what makes you happy or what defines your success in life.

From a certain perspective, a war of ideology is consuming the civilized world with evermore increasing vitriol and animocity.

From another perspective, humanity is waking up and discovering that certain things are worth fighting for, because they define everything about what it means to be human, and everything about what it means to live in a civilized society.

A lot of people go through life with blinders on, refusing to see the world from any other perspective than the one that reaffirms their defined ideology. I choose to walk through life with eyes wide open ... and in my very limited experience, I have seen that compassion and understanding ALWAYS provide greater benefit to humanity than do selfishness and mindless adherence to ideology.

It's time for people to stand up and be true to themselves ... to SpeakUp when they see and hear things that aren't right ... and to take conscious steps to bring their life into alignment with that truth.

This may ultimately cause more conflict before it causes more understanding, but the alternative is an infectious ambivalence which only benefits the powerful who rule by fear and intimidation. The best antiseptic for this kind of infectious ambivalence is the resounding light of truth and understanding.

I have enjoyed working with professional motivators for much of the past few years. However, in the process I learned much about myself, and found a voice and a passion within me that let me know it was time to move on.

I have suspended most business operations that used to be associated with the SpeakUpMedia brand. I decided that the goals I have for my life can only be achieved once I have made the necessary changes and action plans. When I check into the debates of the day and have a strong opinion one way or another, you'll likely find it in my Twitter feed. I may eventually have time to develop my blog, but in the meantime I'll be confining commentary to the Twitterverse.

Enjoy the debate ... and please allow yourself to disagree without being disagreeable.
